SCSU Aikido

SCSU Aikido is a not for profit organization founded to serve St. Cloud State University and the surrounding communities. We meet three times a week for two hours to practice Aikido together.

Instructors

Jayne Thompson and Jack Hayes

Jack Hayes Sensei and Jayne Thompson Sensei serve as instructors for Minnesota Aikikai/SCSU Aikido. In 1988 they began practicing Aikido under Peter Bernath Sensei of Florida Aikikai in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Currently they are both Yondan (4th Dan) and Fukushidoin (certified examiners) of the USAF.

Affiliations

SCSU Aikido is a member of the United States Aikido Federation (USAF), Eastern Region, and the Hombu Dojo in Tokyo, Japan.

The USAF is currently headed by Yoshimitsu Yamada, Chairman of the Board, and a direct student of O Sensei for more than ten years.
